The Most Wonderful Time of the Year...For Birthdays!

It's that time of year again! The holidays are upon us, and in our house, that means it's time to celebrate...birthdays! That's right, we have 6 out of 8 kids with birthdays between November 16th and January 16th. Talk about a busy time of year! In between all the decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years, we also have to plan parties for these guys. But you know what? We wouldn't have it any other way.

The Best Time of Year for Birthdays

There's just something special about birthdays during the holiday season. Maybe it's the extra bit of cheer in the air, or the fact that everyone is already in party mode. Whatever the reason, we think birthdays during this time of year are the best. And our kids seem to agree!

The downside, of course, is that things can get a little hectic. But we've learned a few tricks over the years to help manage the madness. Here are a few of our favorites:

1. Combine parties whenever possible. If two or more kids have birthdays within a week or two of each other, why not combine their parties into one big celebration? This way you only have to decorate once, and you can save on party supplies too. Win-win!

2. Plan ahead as much as possible. This one is key for us because we know things are only going to get more hectic as December gets closer. If we can get a head start on party planning by even just a few weeks, it makes a world of difference.

3. Delegate, delegate, delegate! We're lucky to have family and friends who are always willing to help out with whatever needs to be done—from decorating to wrapping presents to baking birthday cakes. We couldn't do it without them!

Conclusion

So there you have it—a little peek into how we do birthdays in our house during the holiday season. It's always a busy time, but it's also a lot of fun. And in the end, that's what really matters, right?
