Being A Mom is a Dragon Sized Task

As a mom of a large family, I sometimes feel like I am being pulled in 12 different directions. I am juggling taking care of the big kids, little kids, housework, running multiple businesses, and still making time for my husband.

Some days I feel like I can conquer the world, and other days it feels like a never-ending battle. In the end though, I wouldn't trade it for anything. The rewards are so much bigger than the challenges.

The Rewards of Being a Mom

There is nothing quite like the feeling of love and appreciation from my kids. When they tell me they love me or give me a big hug, or say Thank You Mom it makes all the hard work worth it.

Knowing that I am raising kind, caring, and responsible human beings is the best feeling in the world.

Seeing my children grow and succeed in life is my number one priority and everything else falls into place after that.

Another huge reward of being a mom is having a supportive husband. My husband is my rock and he helps me in all areas of my life. He takes on extra responsibilities around the house so that I can focus on other things, and he is always there to lend a listening ear or give me a shoulder to cry on.

Having him by my side makes this journey called motherhood so much easier.

The Challenges of Being a Mom

Of course, with all the rewards come challenges. One of the biggest challenges I face as a mom is finding enough time in the day to get everything done. It seems like there is always something that needs to be done, and there are never enough hours in the day to do it all.

This can be extremely frustrating and overwhelming at times. Another challenge I face is dealing with mom guilt. No matter what I do or how hard I try, there are always going to be things that fall through the cracks. Feeling like I am not doing enough or that I am not good enough can be very tough to deal with.

Being a mom is hard work, there's no doubt about it. But it is also immensely rewarding. At the end of the day, when we tuck our little ones into bed and reflect on our day, we wouldn't trade this job for anything in the world. So to all you moms out there reading this, know that you are not alone—we are all in this together!
